The life simulation game industry has become more exciting recently, with many indie developers taking on Electronic Arts' The Sims. Not surprisingly, this game is loved by many players of all ages. One of the more recent simulation games mentioned is Life By You, created by Paradox Interactive and helmed by Rod Humble, a former The Sims developer who even had an in-game character dedicated to him in The Sims 2.

Paradox Tectonic finally provides more information about their newest simulation game, Life By You. This announcement was presented through a half hour presentation from the developer, which explained in detail the various features and what kind of gameplay would be provided by Life By You. The presentation was also presented by Ron Humble, who was directly involved in the creation of The Sims game, which is known as the standard for simulation genre games.

As the person who once designed The Sims, Ron believes Life By You can go beyond the game thanks to a variety of unique features and new mechanics that are fresher and more interesting. The two most promising features of Life By You are the modding and the open-world which feels whole and complex.

Paradox takes a realistic approach in Life By You, which is very different from The Sims which seems more cartoonish. Apart from that, Life By You will also use real language, not obscure language and sounds like in The Sims.

Important Features of Life By You :

• Play in the Open World – Live life without loading screens. Start a real language conversation. Drive or bike into the countryside. Find and complete quests to unlock new experiences.

• Expand Player Creativity – Create your own in-game content via mods. Take advantage of a variety of deep Creator Tools. Change gameplay anytime. Life is yours to create.

• Take Direct Control – Drag and drop your humans into place – or direct them directly in third person mode. Live the life of one person or tell the story of many. Climb the career ladder. Fall in love. Raising a family.

• Storytelling Through Conversation – Every conversation in real language is generated based on your unique human situation. You can even create your own conversations in game.

• Design Your Own World – Build your human dream home or business from scratch. Complete them top to bottom, inside out. Drag, destroy and rearrange the entire city.

• Create Fully Customized Humans – Design your family in Creator Humans, including deep personalities and characters. Style and restyle your human any time.

Furthermore, to maintain the player's sense of immersion, Paradox Tectonic does not use a loading screen system for its open-world feature, with the hope that the game can feel seamless when moving places or changing activities. The customization features offered by Life By You are no less interesting. Starting from the characters, houses, housing arrangements, even down to the city level, everything can be customized. This feature is actually not too surprising, considering that Paradox is the developer for the game Cities: Skylines, one of the most popular city builder games today.

In the early access stage later, Paradox Tectonic hopes that the community that tries it directly can get a complete and satisfying playing experience, and try the modding features as freely as they want.

Life By You will enter the early access stage on September 12, 2023 and will be released for the PC platform via Steam and the Epic Game Store with a price of USD 40 or around IDR 610,000.
