Japan Becomes the First Asian Country to Hold VCT Masters

This new VCT Masters history was announced at Riot Games One Pro Invitational held in Japan too, specifically in Yokohama. So far, VCT Masters has always been held in Europe, including Reykjavic in Iceland, Berlin in Germany, and lastly at Copenhagen in Germany. Even the last, Valorant Champion 2022 was held in Istanbul, Turkey. 

Japan being selected as host may be resulted by VCT Challengers June 2022 that was also hosted in Japan. At that time, there was so much enthusiasm. Because of that, in order to reach the market outside Europe and to answer fans' enthusiasm, Riot picks Tokyo as the host of VCT Masters 2023. 

Eventually, VCT Masters 2023 will also golf the same timeline format as Riot Games’ most popular game, League of Legends (LoL). Like the latter, it will also host a Mid-Summer Invitational (MSI) in the middle of the year.
